Volcano Eruption in Iceland - Grimsvotn
Europe's most active volcano, Grimsvotn, began to erupt on Saturday (5/21/11). Talking to my contact in Iceland, he said that I would be traveling through this area in late June. He also said, "The towns close to Vatnajokull have a lot of ash.. and people mostly just stay inside. But everyone is safe... no problems at all." Glad to hear and I am a month away from going out there myself.
